Hand me a ball of yarn and I immediately imagine all the wonderful things I can do with it. Match it with other yarns, knit it into a sweater, shawl, or afghan. The weirder or more novel the yarn, the better - particularly for mix and match patterns. I relish the challenge of knitting with an unusual yarn and figuring out how to make it into a garment I would want to wear. Then I reach for the knitting needles. My designs incorporate and blend colors. And best of all, minimize seams and sewing ends in.

My inspiration? Nature’s color palettes – sunsets, gardens, new leaves in the spring, and even rock outcroppings! Paintings – particularly Impressionists. And quilt patterns.

Afghans complement any decor and any time of the year. I have focused on ways blend interesting yarns, stretch expensive yarns, and create colors.
My sweaters are jacket or cardigan style. For the office, jacket style sweaters look more professional than pullover style sweaters and they can be put on and taken off easily as temperatures fluctuate. And there are so many creative and wonderful buttons available to finish a jacket style sweater.
I have created techniques and patterns that get you started on your own projects. And I have developed guidelines for designing your own patterns, and hopefully given you the confidence to create your own designs.
